212 people responded to the Gospel message preached at five events in three days over 24–26 March. This included 88 people who made first time commitments, and 58 who rededicated their lives to Christ. The balance of people who responded came forward at the evangelism rallies for a variety of reasons. We give God all the glory for what He has done.
We are very grateful to the wonderful churches in the Namoi region that so generously dedicated months of hard work, prayer, and training to make Come Together Namoi possible. It is remarkable that we had an attendance of 1,712 over the three days of rallies in a shire where the population is only 13,500. This testifies to the Lord’s blessing, the wonderful organisation of the steering committee, the executive leadership team, and every single volunteer involved in this great outreach.
We are most grateful to the anointed evangelists who faithfully preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Dr Bill Newman, who has preached for decades across Australia and internationally, was the leading evangelist for Come Together Namoi, and was supported by Sean W Smith who preached at Kidzfest, and Rodney Trinidad, who preached at the youth event. We would also like to thank Band of Youth, Steve Grace, Sky Pilot, Krosswerdz, and Darin Browne for their well-targeted music ministry.
Bill Newman shared about the events, “After the incredible time we had in the beautiful town in Narrabri NSW, all we can say is – ‘To God be the Glory, Great Things He Has done’. The local believers prayed, worked hard, trained hard, and gave generously, making an incredible weekend possible. Each on the team counted it an incredible privilege to work with these wonderful folk. Because of the unity among God’s people, the Holy Spirit manifested Himself and worked with great power.”
Prior to the rallies commencing, we also visited schools, and shared the Gospel at a retirement home where some of the residents also gave their hearts to Christ.
Vision Radio were once again wonderful partners during this outreach and broadcast over the weekend, including some messages recorded on Facebook.
Every single person who responded to the Gospel at each of the five rallies, and who has authorised us to do so, will be followed up by the local churches. The aim is to encourage all those who made decisions for Christ over the weekend to continue growing in their faith and to feel welcomed within a church family.
Please pray for all new believers and the churches in this process and above all, join us in thanking and praising the Lord for this great harvest.
