It’s nearly impossible to go about life for a day without noticing the effects of the coronavirus. At a time when virtually the whole world is in the same boat, adjusting everyday tasks in light of this pandemic, it might feel like nothing is the same anymore.
Franklin Graham offered the following word of encouragement and a prescription for peace.
The coronavirus has turned the world as we know it upside down. Almost nothing in our daily lives is what we would consider normal. The stock market that millions have put their trust in has taken a nose dive, millions of people are facing being out of work, many businesses are closed, schools are out, in many places you can’t go inside a restaurant to eat, and you can’t buy toilet paper anywhere that I’ve seen. We are in a state of emergency.
The days we’re living in are so uncertain. Our world is so easily shaken. But there is solid ground — you just have to know where to find it.
The prophet Isaiah points out the truth that the Lord “will be the stability of your times.” God is our Solid Rock. He is not surprised by what is going on in the world or in our lives. He loves us and sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for the sins of mankind.
Here’s a prescription for peace in these unsettled times: Pray Often, Read God’s Word, Put Your Trust and Faith In Him and Him alone.
“‘Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,’ says the Lord, who has compassion on you” (Isaiah 54:10).
Are you or is someone you know worried about the coronavirus? You’re not alone, talk to someone today.
